Super Bowl LII REVIEW

SUPER BOWL LII

REVIEW

So I was pretty convinced it was Philadelphia... and then after making my post,
in the hours before the game, I thought of additional stuff that made me even more sure...

One was, on the whole 27 thing- this was the NFC's 27th SB win...
and there was so much 27 stuff... Well then I was thinking about Super Bowl 27...
and the score of Super Bowl 27... Just so happened to be...
52-17...
As in, obviously the NFC will get their 27th SB win in SB 52 in the '17 season!

Another was, I was aware of a 65 thing- it would be Brady's 65th all time loss...
Well it was in the home of Prince and they even did a Prince tribute at half time,
and well, "Prince" = 65.

And I was just really loving my 27/25 point differential find in the Eagles
and Patriots' losses this season. The PD of the Eagles' 3 losses was 27...
and the PD of the Patriots' 3 losses was 25. And now the NFC has 27 SB wins,
and the AFC has 25. Beautiful.

I'm mad at myself for focusing all season on the "black" / 42 angle of the whole
Flag/Anthem protests, and NOT just on the whole "America" angle... Especially
after I found that the FIRST time the Eagles and Patriots ever played each other
was 2309 (239) weeks prior to this SB... SB 52, 52nd prime = 239.

So anyway, it was obviously an "America" thing with the flag stuff all year and
the President who was born on Flag Day getting involved, and the American Flag
was "born" at 239 Arch St. PHILADELPHIA...
and then it's PATRIOTS and EAGLES... I mean c'mon! ...

THE SCORE 41-33

...and then the Eagles win with 41 points! "U.S.A." = 41...
It's the first time a team has ever won the SB with 41 points!

And then I had heard something about Brady's mom living very close to
Minneapolis where the Super Bowl was being played... It worried me that
they might have it scripted for him... but get this, "Mom" = 41...

The previous SB to be played on Feb. fourth was SB 41.
"the fourth" = 41. So, get that... So far only two SBs have been played on
"the fourth" = 41, SB 41 and one that was won with 41 points!

"forty-one" = 46 and 98. SB41 totaled to 46 points.
This SB, won with 41 points, was the 98th season of the NFL.

There was one punt in the game. It was for 41 yards.

"Patriotism" = 140 (14, "fourteen" = 41), and 59 (17th prime, '17 season)...

And the Patriots lost with 33 (highest losing score ever) and 33 in octal is 41.

4133 is the 569th prime. (5+69=74, the total score of the SB)...
569 is the 104th (14)... Beautiful.

Speaking of that President who was born on Flag Day...
"White House" and "Government" = 52 (Super Bowl 52)...

So that was all there to be seen but instead I was focused on 42... anyway.

41-33... an 8 point difference. It was the Eagles' 8th win over the Patriots.
The date, 2/4 (2x4=8)... And there was a lot of 8/19/67 stuff on the Eagles...
my favorite: with the win they improved to 22-21 in the playoffs...
2221 is the 331st prime... 331 is the 67th. 67 is the 19th. 19 is the 8th...
They won by 8. Beautiful.

And for some more 19... They made a big deal to keep talking about how
this game had the most yards gained in a single game, EVER, not just a SB...
1151 yards. 1151 is the 190th prime... 190 is 19 w/o the zero AND 19 squared.

btw, "nineteen" = 41.

Reduce the scores and it's 41(4+1=5) - 33(3+3=6), or 56...
Ton of 56 stuff on it, for the Eagles, one of my favorites was that the
previous backup QB to come in late in the year and win the SB is 56 years old now...

41-33. The 4133rd prime is 39239... I see a 39 and a 239 in there.
This was the rematch of SB 39, and it was SB fifty-two, fifty-second prime is 239...

TIME OF GAME:

So get this. They say the game was 3:46 long...
346 reversed is 643.
643 is the 117th prime. SB LII... the LII upside down is 117!

3+46 = 49... "Eagles" = 49. and more...

34

The touchdown that brought the total points at the half to 34
came with 0:34 on the clock. Tons of 34 stuff talked about before the game,
including that the Patriots staying at 34 playoff wins.

152

So how did my 152 stuff show up? The leading receiver in the game has 152 yards.
The Referee "Gene Steratore" = 152.

152 reversed is 251, 251 is the 54th prime. There were 54 total 1st downs.

Eagles scored 5 tds. Patriots scored 4. 54...

86/443

Zach Ertz scored the go-ahead / winning touchdown, on a controversial play...
He wears #86. We talked about 86 before the game being good for Eagles...
With the win the series with New England is now 8-6 (86)...
and the first time they ever played each other was 44 years and 3 months (443)
prior...

Well, the Eagles possessed the ball for 34:04 (344, or 443 reversed)...

(btw the Eagles had 8 total scoring plays, the Pats had 6.)

Speaking of time of possession...

71

The Patriots possessed the ball for 25:56... 2556 is the 71st triangular number.
It was 71 days from Belichick's birthday.

reversed, 6552 has 48 divisors. 48th SB of modern era.
Brady threw the ball 48 times... with the loss stays at 223 wins (48th prime)...

The Brady/Belichick time is up?

I have the garbage box on in the background. They're talking this
Josh McDaniels story... for fun I punched his name in...
"Josh McDaniels" = 219... Maybe the Patriots fall off next year
and Belichick retires after the season and McDaniels is the head coach
for the 2019 (219) season?

Ok well...

Commercial

Oh, the most frequent commercial was this "Tide Ad" thing...
"Tide" = 38...
"Minnesota" = 38, "U.S. Bank Stadium" = 38...

"Tide Ad" = 43... it was the Eagles 43rd playoff game,
Nick Foles' 43rd start...
The Eagles won in week 14 with 43 points (14th prime),
the week Carson Wentz went down, and the Patriots also
happened to have lost that week.

"Tide" and "Tide Ad" = 25... AFC stays at 25 SB wins...
First score of the game was a 25 yard FG...
A weird decision by Belichick to start a player, a #25, over Malcolm Butler...
It was Belichick's 325th game w/NE... 325 the 25th triangular number...

325 reversed is 523... Patriots stay at 523 all time wins...

523 the 99th prime...
They showed a 99 year old Eagles fan during rh broadcast...

They'll start the 99th season of the NFL next year on 523 wins.

Watch the lights dim / flicker when they show Brady (and Belichick I think)
running off the field after the game...

I'm thinking the Brady/Belichick dynasty is done.

Both QBs had 28 completions... The Eagles' parade is scheduled for 2/8 (28)...
I'm thinking the NFC wins again next year and gets their 28th.

I don't know.

Ok, cheers!

  1. Great stuff as always.

This being the first Super Bowl on 2/4 since SB41 is a great find, I then looked at SB33 and the score summed to 53 (34-19). B&B now 5-3 in SBs.

Another "America" theme is its been 86 years since Congress adopted the pledge.
Eagles 8-6 against Patriots and all the Ertz #86 connections.

Also the play with #55 Graham forcing Brady to fumble was very similar to the Tuck Rule play, would be a fitting end to the Dynasty.

Now that the seasons over I guess its time to think about SB53 teams, looking forward to hearing your thoughts
