COWBOYS vs COLTS SB54

Ok, I haven't done a full preview like I did a year ago.

But I did notice that the SB has been in Miami 10 times already.

Of those 10 times the Cowboys or the Colts have been in 6 of them.

And 1 of those 6 it was Cowboys vs Colts.

That was also the first SB of the modern era and now this one will be the 50th...
A milestone so maybe a repeat?

That plus some other inklings and odds and ends has me picking

COWBOYS vs COLTS for SB54.

And then tonight I looked at the Andrew Luck retirement real quick and was pleasantly
surprised. But before that I want to mention a dream I had...

It's a bit hazy and disjointed but it was Jacksonville and Philadelphia
(although at one point there was audio, like an announcer, of it being
New York Giants instead of Philly) but either way it was Jacksonville
up 17-2 at half time and then Philly/NYG came back to win 30-20.
And I remember thinking in the dream how fitting that score was
because it totals to 50 and it's the 50th SB of the modern era.

Other than that though, before I was actually watching the SB highlights,
it was Baltimore vs the Chargers... and it was as if it was the AFC Champ...
which wouldn't make sense if it was Jacksonville in the SB so I don't know.

If it's Jacksonville, Philadelphia, the Giants, Baltimore or the Chargers
I'm chalking it up that I dreamt it!

Ok now, the Luck retirement / Colts' case for SB54...

On the day of the Colts' first game this year, when their season begins,
Andrew Luck will be 10953 days old (1953)

The Colts' first year in the NFL was 1953.

Luck won 53 regular season games.

The date of his retirement announcement 8/24/19,
8+2+4+20+19 = 53.

The SB era is 53 years old as this season begins
and will only turn 54 at SB54...

10953 is the 62nd triangular number.

SB 53 was 62 days after their current coach, Reich's birthday.

In 1962 the Colts finished 7-7, a unique record, their only 7-7,
and their current coach
"Frank Reich Jr." = 77
and has birth numerology of 77.
(Luck's replacement Brissett wore #7 w/NE and now #7 w/IND, 77...)

Brissett is 26 (26/62) as this season starts.

The retirement came 263 days after Reich's birthday,
the birthday on which he was no longer 56 years old
263 is the 56th prime
(Reich was 56 when the previous season started)

Reich turned 57 during the previous season
The Colts went 7-5 in '57 and the next year they won the championship.

Luck and Reich's birthdays are 9 months and 8 days apart (98)
this season begins for them on 9/8

That was Luck's birthday after Reich's, measuring the other way,
their birthdays are 2 months and 22 days apart... (222)
The upcoming SB is on 2/2/20 (222)

Luck was born in '89.
Their point differential in the regular season a year ago was 89.
This season begins on 9/8.
89 is the 24th prime
"Colts" = 24.
They won the SB their 24th season in Indianapolis.
"Andrew Austen Luck" = 24
Reich has birth numerology of 24

Week 1 will be Brissett's 24th game. (Luck's replacement)

The Colts' next playoff win will be their 24th.
(they'd be 24-24 at that point)

the SB is on a date with 24 numerology.

The #24 is retired for the Colts, Lenny Moore...
This season starts for the Colts exactly 41 weeks after his birthday
"Super Bowl" = 41.
...his birthday which was a date with 54 numerology... SB54...

and that birthday also had 47 numerology
"Luck" = 47

and from that same birthday, the SB is exactly 62 weeks away.
recall the 62 stuff, specifically Luck being the 62nd triangular number of days old
when this season starts.

And then Lenny Moore's final year was '67
This season is the Colts' 67th season
67 is the 19th prime
it's 2019...
"Frank Reich Jr." = 67
Luck's initials, "A.A.L." = 67
Reich's "F.M.R." = 19

And Luck is 29 years old
29th prime is 109 (19).

Speaking of that 109... Luck being 29 years old,
29 being the 109th prime...
the retirement was 109 days before his replacement, Brissett's birthday.
aka 3 months and 17 days, 317 is the 66th prime
Colts are moving on from Luck after their 66th season.

This season starts for them 271 days after Brissett's birthday
271 is the 58th prime
Colts first won the championship in '58.

that's 94 days before his birthday
"Brissett" = 49

The SB is 53 days (recall the 53 stuff) / 54 days after Brissett's birthday.

Oh, and the SB is 10 months 9 days (109) before Brissett's birthday
recall the 109 and Luck being 29 years old...

The retirement was 162 days before the SB
"one hundred" = 162 (NFL 100 celebration)

It's SB 54 and 54 relates to "baseball" = 54 big time... "MLB" = 54
and MLB plays 162 game seasons.
"one hundred" = 54.

So there's some quick work.

Still like SF, GB, NYG, and KC a good bit too.

Happy Football.

Cheers!

  1. Its funny I was working on a 49ers/Colts predictions post and was about to put it on my blog but then Luck retired.

I don't know if I like them to make SB anymore, but I think winning division or wild card team is likely. I am looing into their Week 1 opponent as a strong possibility to represent the AFC.

Heres what I had on the Colts

    Andrew Luck
    SB54 could be Luck’s 113th start (1st Rd Bye)
    • 113 = 30th prime

Luck will be 30 y/o when SB54 is played
    • 223 days after SB54, Luck turns 31
    • 31 = 11th prime
    • SB54 could be Luck’s 11th playoff game

This will be Colts 67th Season
    • 67 = 19th prime (2019 Season)

Colts playoff record is 23-24 (47 game)
    • 3 more games would put them @ 50 total
    • This is the 50th SB of the Modern era
    • Colts won 1st SB of Modern era (SB5)
    SB5 totaled 29 points, Luck starts the year @ 29 y/o
    • 29 = 10th prime

Luck father, Oliver Luck, also played QB in the NFL
    • DOB: 4/5/1960 (59th y/o)
    • 59th bday is 303 days before SB54

    Colts HC: Frank Reich
He was a career backup QB in the NFL
Played for: Bills, Panthers, Jets & Lions

    ATR: 7-15 (22 Career starts)
    • 22 starts goes nicely with SB54 being on 2/2/2020

Reich’s last Season as a QB was in 1998
    • The 1998 Season ended with SB34 which was played in Miami
    • 1998 was the NFL’s 79th Season
    o 79 = 22nd prime

Reich’s last start was for the Lions on 12/27/1998
    • This was 23 days after his 37th bday
    o 23 =9th prime & 37 = 12th ((9/12) (Luck’s birthday)
    • SB54 could be Reich’s 37th game as HC (Luck wears #12)
Reich’s last game was for Lions, he lost to the Baltimore Ravens 19-10 (29)
    • On this same day Miami lost to Atlanta 38-16 (54)
    • This the same score of SB19 when Miami lost to the 49ers

SB19 was the end to the 1984 Season (65th NFL Season)
    • In 1984 Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis
    • SB19 was also played at Stanford Stadium
    • Luck went to Stanford

    SB19 was played on 1/20/1985
    • 100 days later Reich was drafted on 4/30/1985 by the Bills
    • Remember this is the 100th NFL Season
    • Reich was the 57th pick (Reich is currently 57 years old)
    • He turns 58 on 12/4/19 which is 60 days before SB54

Reich’s first start was for the Bills on 10/16/1989
    • Bills defeated the LA Rams 23-20 (43)
    • This same day Miami won in Cincinnati 23-13 (33)
    • Miami’s record became 3-3 (SB54 on 33rd D.O.Y)

The 89’ Season ended with the 49ers winning SB24
    • 49ers defeated the Broncos 55-10 on 1/28/19
    • A span of 139 days after Andrew Luck was born
    • 24th prime = 89

Back to the of Reich last start, Lions lost 19-10 (29)
    • In SB29 the 49ers defeated the Chargers 49-26 (75)
    • As stated SB29 was played in Miami

The Colts 1st game of the Season is vs the Chargers

On 1/22/89 49ers defeated the Bengals 20-16 to win SB23
    • 22nd day of the year
    • This was 233 days before Luck was born
    • 233 = 13th Fibonacci # & 51st prime #

Luck’s only start vs 49ers was on 9/22/13
    • A date that left 100 days left in the year

This brought Luck’s career record to 13-7
    • 137 = 33rd prime
    • Colts won the game by a score of 27-7 (34)
    • On this Same day Miami won @ home vs ATL 27-23 (50)

The 2013 49ers were coached by Jim Harbaugh
    • Harbaugh coached Luck @ Stanford
    • Butgetthis, Harbaugh was the Ravens QB in Reich’s last career NFL game back in 1998
    Ridiculous!

Harbaugh is now the coach at Michigan (Reich last start was for Detroit)
In Harbaugh’s last NFL game he played for SD vs Miami on 11/22/2000
    • This was 41 days before his 37th birthday
Dolphins won 17-7 (24) Chargers dropped to 0-10
Side note: Harbaugh was backing up Ryan Leaf in this game

Back in 1998 there was a big debate who should go # 1 in the draft; Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning
•Colts took Manning, who was eventually replaced by Luck.

Oliver Luck’s last start in the NFL was for the Oilers vs the SD Chargers
    • Chargers won 27-0,
    • O.Luck stat line: 10-26 for 110 yards
Remember Week 1 this year Colts playing Chargers in Los Angeles

    1. Hey, I had been thinking Colts for SB54 for a while, and then when he retired it actually made me hotter on them. What a weird retirement... something's up?

Good data here, and a lot of it relates to my case for them now without Luck... I particularly like:

Reich’s last Season as a QB was in '98
      • The '98 Season ended with SB34 which was played in Miami
      • '98 was the NFL’s 79th Season
      o 79 = 22nd prime

This season starts for them 9/8 and Reich's final season ('98) the SB was in Miami, beautiful ... also remember the 89 = 24th all the huge 24 for the Colts and Luck retired on the 24th (forgot to put that in my post)...

and then the 22nd prime... SB on 2/2...

oh and reich's first year with a start and a win, he went 3-0, was '89... so a nice 89/98 thing

oh and if you recall my 77 thing and him, he wore #7 once, his year with the jets, and he started 7 games...

his final game, not start but game that jets year was vs miami, it was on the 22nd...

and the jets record in all of his games, his starts and appearances, was 1-9
      19...

reich's first ever game was on the 8th (this season starts on the 8th)
and he threw for 19 yards... and it was vs the jets ^

reich was 24 his first year
and his first (of two) games vs IND was on the 24th.
IND won and it totaled to 19.

      he's 2-0 as a started vs MIA
first start was in '89 and on a prime special date 10/29 (10th prime=29)
and the score was two prime numbers, 31-17

      and it was week 8... 8th prime=19...

his career vs IND, 8 TD / 8 INT.

Do you know why the current Baltimore/Indianapolis franchise is in their 67th season starting in '53... but there's apparently a different 'baltimore colts' franchise that played one year in the NFL before that? in '50... ? anyway, '50... this is the 50th SB of modern era.

Oh and their most iconic legend, before Manning I guess, but the old timer Johnny U... he wore #19... 19th=67... their 67th season which is '19...

  2. Frank Reich also had a huge comeback when he was in college and it was in Miami. Maryland was down 31-0 to the Hurricanes but came back to win 42-40. This occurred in 1984. This was the first year the Colts played in Indianapolis. The 49ers won SB19 over the Miami Dolphins in Stanford Stadium to end the 1984 Season. The score totaled 54 points (38-16), Colts loss today in a game that totaled 54 points.

I am not sure about the 51' Season but the Colts origins are tied to the Dayton Triangles, a team that played in the 1st NFL game. They won 14-0 on 10/3/190 vs the Columbus Panhandles. This was the 277th day of the year and left 89 remaining.

    1. hey good stuff... 49ers are looking good... Colts didn't fall to 0-2... so maybe. my Colts stuff, especially the 24 stuff and through Lenny Moore, might be for BALTIMORE and the Ravens' 24th season...

Watched a thing on YouTube that just mentioned that that first "blatimore colts" franchises (1950, 51, and 52) was a different "baltimore colts" than the one that started up in '53... So I don't know.

      anyway cheers man!
