Sunday Night Football Week 9 2017

I won't have the full write-up done before kickoff so here's some quick notes on what I do have done up to this point.

I noticed a lot of even numbers of weeks, like EXACT weeks with no extra days, on a lot of the measurements of when these teams first and previously played.

This is the first time they've ever played on November 5th or for that matter the 5th of ANY month. So I looked at their games on days that REDUCE to 5. That's be the 5th, 14th, and 23rd of any month. Since they first played on a day that reduces to 5 it's been exactly 2,302 weeks. Since the first time they played in the month of November it's been exactly 2,607 weeks. Since they first played in November AT Miami it's been exactly 1,877 weeks. And since they first played on a Sunday AT Miami it's been exactly 2,030 weeks.

The previous time they played each other was exactly 162 weeks ago (and a World Series just concluded w/a team from California losing, hmm). The previous time they played AT Miami was exactly 268 weeks ago. The previous time they played in the month of November AT Miami was exactly 468 weeks ago. And the previous time they played on a day that reduces to 5 was exactly 841 weeks ago.

Here's one of my main reads so far. It's the 38th all time meeting of these teams. "Raiders" = 38 and if they win Jay Cutler gets his 38th all time HOME loss.

Not sure who I'm picking yet based on the numbers but if I had to call it right now I'd say Oakland.

Will finish the write-up and won't look at the game until I'm done.

Cheers!

  1. AND we can add another exact weeks thing to this... So the Raiders won. This was their first win vs Miami since 2007... exactly 527 weeks ago.
