ONE OF THESE EIGHT TEAMS WILL WIN SB53

Based on SB history, the odds of the SB WINNER/SB LOSER and their results on the Sunday that was 112 days prior to their SBs.

VERY GOOD ODDS CLUB:
[WON on 112 day and improved to .500 or better]
71% TO WIN THE SB / 65% TO MAKE & LOSE THE SB
AFC:
DOLPHINS*
RAVENS*
STEELERS*
CHARGERS*
PATRIOTS
NFC:
REDSKINS*
VIKINGS*
RAMS

*PLAYED AT 1PM, FAR MORE LIKELY THAN 4PM.
So I'd say history favors those 6, but obviously the other two have great chances too.
Watch it be LA/NE to bookend the NE dynasty.

My Ravens and my NFC backup Redskins are there. Whoopee.

DIDN'T WIN ON 112 DAY BUT OVER .500 CLUB
5.7% TO WIN THE SB / 9.6% TO MAKE & LOSE THE SB
AFC:
BENGALS
CHIEFS
NFC:
BEARS
PANTHERS

MOST LIKELY OUT [LOST on 112 day and fell to .500 or worse]
9.6%(3.8% really*) TO WIN THE SB / 5.7% TO MAKE & LOSE THE SB
AFC:
BILLS
BROWNS
JAGUARS
TITANS
COLTS
BRONCOS
RAIDERS
NFC:
BUCCS
CARDINALS

*most were in old school league when 112 days was week 2 and they were 1-1s

MOST LIKELY OUT [WON on 112 day and were .500 or worse]
1.9% TO WIN THE SB / ZERO PERCENT TO MAKE & LOSE THE SB
AFC:
JETS
TEXANS
NFC:
COWBOYS
FALCONS
SEAHAWKS

  2. Very interesting line of research, I like it! Have you also tried looking at 131 days before the SBs as well?

I wonder if it is statistically anomalous from other weeks games. I mean, if you take any random Superbowl winner and ask if they won a particular regular season game that season, it does make sense that there is around 60-75% chance that they won that game, just because Superbowl winners most likely had a high win rate in the regular season.
So I wonder if you did the same thing but for the next weeks games for example (105 days before SB) if the percentages would look similar or if there would be something very special about the 112 days game in particular.

    1. I'm 100 with you on this and have thought about doing this. Good thinking!

As I've said before, the 131 days is always a TUESDAY.

But yes, looking at other weeks, looking at the 105 days... really looking at more, very very good idea.

  3. I like it!! check this out. I looked into the Eagles last year and found this on Gematria calculator. It might not mean anything tho.

Eagles won on 10/12 with 28 points. Super Bowl = 112
The total combined score was 51 points, Twenty Eight = 51
From 10/12 to 2/4/18 was 16 weeks 3 days as well as 115 days overall,
    Super Bowl LII = 163
    Douglas Irving Pederson = 115

    Super Bowl LII = 62
    Carson James Wentz = 62
    Doug Pederson = 62

I know Wentz did not play in the SB but what if he was the riddle. IDK

    so this year,

I looked at every coach and starting quarter back (some backups too)
    Here is what I got.

    Super Bowl LIII = 181
    9/30 to 2/3 is 18 weeks 1 day

    Super Bowl LIII= 71

    Matthew Thomas Ryan = 71
    Samuel Jacob Bradford = 71

This is why I mean there might not be anything concrete about this. Bradford is benched.

the overall days of 9/30 to 2/3 is 127

I was not able to find any HC's full name or NFL given name to equal 127. maybe I missed it due to staring at the computer for so long. just thought I would share it with you. Hopefully you look into it further if you find any interest in it.

BTW I never knew Mike Tomlin's middle name was "Pettaway" WTF!!! and his nickname is "GANG GANG" what a joke. It really is the WWE.

    1. yep love that middle name for Tomlin...

How about all of Brady's names? Catholic much?

A year ago, the Eagles, 10/12 that was week 6 but it was not the 112 days day... it was Thursday

They played on the Thursday of week 6 again this year...
But they seem done to me.

      Who drafted Bradford? Rams?

      Ryan went to BOSTON college.

LA seems hot- Dodgers, LeBron... Rams undefeated/everyone's favorite...

See my "When 09/23 Falls on a Sunday" post.
      BIG FOR RAMS.

I still like my Redskins though.

      RAVENS afc.

Watching the mind numbing stupid garbage TV shows and junk can really just GIVE YOU THE OUTCOMES sometimes. That Broncos stomping of Arizona was so TV SCRIPTED with the Von Miller story line.

but who wants to spend hours with that garbage.

Notice the Patriots keep winning with 38 points.
meaning they make and play Brady/Belichick's 38th playoff game? My whole 37 thing for them falling off is done? These 38 scores are saying, hey they getting their 39th, at least...

speaking of garbage tv i did notice they showed the atlanta cityscape/skyline and flipped it and had it upside down on top of it right side up... do they do this with every city on MNF? IF NOT: VERY WEIRD

      i don't know.

your 127 could be a 31 for Ryan

copy your calculator entries into a text file and then CTRL+F search for any numbers... So you'd just have all the names in a text file and then search for "127".

I've done this method from the beginning- never stare at the calculator page- at least just search the web page. BUT it only holds so many entries before deleting the bottoms ones.- so copy 'em over to a text file.

      cheers

    1. hope so- they my afc pick.

that miss dropped his XP rate to 99%
      99th season.

you know what gave it away? to me at least? you know what made it cartoon level? his googly eyed expression of disbelief... it wasn't the 1st quarter- it WAS FOR THE GAME, what moron would stand there and stare all big eyed like that? like it's a joke... a friggin' cartoon man.
