NFL Scores of 53 & The GIANTS

Super Bowl 53 ponderings as the season really gets going...

The Giants look incredibly loaded for SB53.
Please review my POST HERE
and check out the SB section for the Giants...

And then see my Trilogy Post
and check out how much sense a trilogy makes...

So the Giants seem loaded,
a Giants/Patriots trilogy seems quite conceivable...

And then just poking around I stumbled upon this...

There has been ONE score of 5-3 (53)
in NFL history. It was back in 1925.
(The "Giants" = 25, began in 1925)

The Frankford Yellow Jackets beat the New York Giants

5 - 3

It was the Yellow Jackets' 19th all time game in the NFL.

SB53 will be played in '19...

"Yellow Jackets" = 53 and 190...

They scored 190 points that season.

The Giants gave up 67 points that season. (19th prime)

The Giants' first win that season was 19-0.

After the win the Yellow Jackets' record improved to 4-1 (41)
"Super Bowl" = 41
The same teams played each other the very next day,
and that game was also won by the Yellow Jackets 14-0.

From the date of that 5 - 3 game, to the start of this season 9/9, is
33930 days... 33930 is the 260th triangular number.
The AFC can get their 26th SB win...

The Giants have a sensational rookie who wears #26...
(The Yellow Jackets won the championship the next year in '26)

That time span is also 92 years, 10 months, and 24 days...
(921024)...

921024 has an insane number of divisors... the most I've ever seen...

921024 has 112 divisors...
"Super Bowl" = 112...

The Yellow Jackets lost their 16th game that season
49 - 0...
16th prime is 53...
SB53 is the 49th of the modern era...

The next year, '26, when they won the championship,
they gave up 49 points on the year...

"Giants" = 25
This was 1925...
and after week 9 that year, after losing in a game that totaled to 25,
the Giants fell to 5-3 on the year...

The Yellow Jackets' final year in the league, they gave up 99 points...
Now this is the 99th NFL season, getting going on 9/9...

Ok now get this...

5 years and 3 days (53) after this 5-3 game, the SAME two teams played
and the score was... 53 - 0... HELLO...

There's only been that one occasion of a 5 -3 score,
and it involved the Giants...

And then there's been two 53 - 0 scores...
and BOTH involve the Giants!!!!!

One of 'em, the Yellow Jackets one, was 5 years and 3 days after the 5 - 3 game

Wow.

The second 53 - 0 game was the
Giants and the Redskins. in '61.

SB53 concludes the '18 season. 18th prime is 61...

From that 53 - 0 game in '61, to SB53...

...is 57 years, 2 months, 4 weeks, and 1 day
(57241)...

57...241...

57, the championship number and 241, the 53rd prime!

And as for that 26 stuff we already mentioned...
From the first 53 - 0 game to the second one was,

372 months and 17 days
(37217)

37217 is the 547th prime

547 is the 101st

101 is the 26th...

and after that second one, the Giants record was 6-2 (62/26)...

The Redskins' record was 0-8... 8th prime is 19
SB53 played in '19, see the 19 stuff...

HELLO. ANYONE?

And now just for good measure I'll go through and look at all games
in NFL history where the score in some way involves 53...
and something else also stands out...

01/14/18 THE MINNEAPOLIS MIRACLE GAME
The Vikings and the Saints
29-24... the game totaled to 53 with a difference of 5.

This one is VERY interesting because I have a theory
that when we're on a certain NFL year, like this year is
the 99th NFL season and the year of SB53 right...
so we think that the numbers 99 and 53 are important...

...but if you think about it, for this entire year,
the NFL is 98 years old... it's in the process of turning 99...
but that doesn't happen until the year is over-
so for the year it's like, How old are you NFL? "I'm 98"...

and the same goes for the SB... The SB era of the NFL is
currently 52 years old... How old are you SB era? "I'm 52"...

Pretty simple but we don't think about it like that hardly ever.

So MAYBE the numbers 98 and 52 are more important.

"Minneapolis Miracle" = 98
the player closest to getting tot he QB was #98
and the player closest to making the tackle/catching up
to the Viking as he ran into the end zone wore #52...

MAYBE that was indicating that the Vikings will be in the SB
THIS YEAR... Eh????? Anyway...

12/24/17
The Patriots and the Bills
37-16... the game totaled to 53 with a difference of 21.

This was the Patriots closest game to SB53 that has a 53
and I love that they won with 37... I think they fall off this
year and miss the playoffs and Brady and Belichick
stay on 37 playoff games with the "Patriots" = 37

Their first SB score totaled to 37
it was 20-17, like 2017, which if they do fall off then
2017 was the season of their final SB appearance (SB LII)
and the year their final SB win was played in (SB LI)

Anyway...

There have been five games that totaled to 53
with a difference of 19...

SB53 to be played in '19...

that score is 36 - 17...

1. 10/5/69
Rams beat the Saints

2. 12/12/05
Falcons beat the Saints

3. 9/27/09
Packers beat the Rams

4. 10/25/12
Buccaneers beat the Vikings

5. 01/22/17
Patriots beat the Steelers

There have been five games that totaled to 53
with a difference of 11... 11 the football number.

that score is 32-21

1. 11/25/71
Lions beat the Chiefs

2. 9/23/01
Chargers beat the Cowboys

3. 12/5/04
Panthers beat the Saints

4. 12/23/07
Redskins beat the Vikings

5. 9/24/15
Giants beat the Redskins

There have been two games that totaled to 53
with a difference of 35... 53/35

that score is 44-9

1. 10/21/84
Bears beat the Buccaneers

2. 11/30/97
Chiefs beat the 49ers

There have been two games with a difference of 53

that score is 56-3

1. 10/23/66
Packers beat the Falcons

2. 9/9/79
Patriots beat the Jets

Notice the 9/9...
And 79 is the 22nd prime
"Super Bowl fifty-three" = 253
253 is the 22nd triangular number...

Brady's next loss is his 56th reg. season loss.

There has been one game that totaled to 53
with a difference of 41... "Super Bowl" = 41

that score is 47-6

1. 10/4/87
Colts beat the Bills

Notice the 10/4 date, like message received
and that the winning score was 47
"Luck" = 47 is back for this season...

Maybe Colts vs Redskins?

There has been one game that totaled to 53
with a difference of 33...

that score is 43-10

1. 10/6/85
Packers beat the Lions

Now the games where one team scored 53...

There have been two 53-7 games

1. 10/12/41
Bears beat the Cardinals

2. 11/2/63
Chargers beat the Jets

Notice both of those have 112 in the dates.
"Super Bowl" = 112

There has been one 53-27 game

1. 12/11/49
Rams beat the Redskins

Notice the year '49...
SB53 is the 49th of the modern era.

Either one of these would make a ton of sense...

that's a difference of 26 too,
AFC gets 26th SB win?

There has been one 53-14 game

1. 11/27/55
Cardinals beat the Bears

There has been one 53-20 game

1. 11/16/14
Packers beat the Eagles

notice the difference of 33...

And there has been one 53-10 game

1. 11/27/24
Cleveland Bulldogs beat the Milwaukee Badgers

Well, there ya go.

Giants are certainly scaring me.

Still on the 49ers...

but the Giants, the Saints, the Seahawks, and the Redskins...

man.

Cheers!

BONUS. As for SB scores... No 53s...
Only one 49 so far... The 49ers scored 49 in SB29...

How about 19s... TWO of the five scores involve the Giants!
SB21 their first, they won by 19...

SB25, their second, they gave up 19.

The other 19s are
SB02 the Packers won by 19.

SB14 the Rams scored 19.

SB33 the Falcons scored 19.

I never bet on a team for the SB before
I grew up a Giants fan...
Watch the year I bet and I bet on the 49ers...
it will be the Giants!

    1. not them either. no quarterback-offensive coordinator combo have ever won it all on their first year together. kind of like a team hosting the super bowl has never played in their own turf.

  2. Giants def inplay this year especially a trilogy
A loss in sB53 would make them 4-2 in SBs
    -181 days before Brady’s 42nd bday

Eli playoff record could become 11-5
    11 = 5th prime, 5 = 3rd (53)

Don’t have time to look into it further, once I do I want to go through your recent posts, keep up the good work WBC

    1. Hey, thank you!
I'm doing at least the SNF and MNF games every week
and then if/when I have time I will do other games,
(the goal is to do one other game in full each week as well)
and beyond those three maybe others but not as in depth... Decided not to do TNF this year because it's so early in the week... But I will try and do something on TNF this week for you. especially considering those are my two AFC favorites right now- BAL and CIN
      cheers!
