Super Bowl Musings...

Like my logo? lol. Ok, now...

Inspired by my friend Brendan F over at WokeStool Sports,
linked at the top, I had a look at Super Bowls hosted by Atlanta...
...and then went into some general musings...

Hosted by Atlanta

1993 season 74th of the NFL
jan 30 1994 sb28 (NOT prime)
dal vs buf 30-13 (43) (313=65th prime)
dal's 34th season (and buf's)

1999 season 80th of the NFL
jan 30 2000 sb34 (NOT prime)
stl vs tn 23-16 (39)
rams 63rd season (tn's 40th)

2018 season 99th of the NFL
feb 3 2019 sb53  (PRIME)
??? vs ??? 00-00 (00)

So the point differential in SB28 was 17...
...in SB34 it was 7...

...17 is the 7th prime...

...and 7 is the 4th prime... so...

...does that mean that whoever is in it, the point differential
for SB53 will be 4?

Prime time

I'd love to know what season number each team was in
the years of the previous prime numbered super bowls...

This will be Super Bowl 53, a prime...

...maybe teams in prime numbered seasons
win prime numbered super bowls?

As far as I can tell, that WAS true for the previous one,
for SB47... I think both Baltimore and S.F. were in
prime numbered seasons...

For this season, for Super Bowl 53 that is the following teams:

Houston (17th season, the 7th prime)

Baltimore (23rd season, the 9th prime)

Seattle + Tampa Bay (43rd season, the 14th prime)

Atlanta + Miami (53rd season, the 16th prime)

Buffalo, New England, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City,
New York Jets, Oakland, Tennessee, and L.A. Chargers
(59th season, the 17th prime)

San Francisco (73rd season, the 21st prime)

Detroit (89th season, the 24th prime)

And that's that. Funny how the teams I've been the hottest on,
Buffalo, Baltimore, and San Francisco,
are all in prime numbered seasons...

"Super Bowl..."

Now I know a lot of numbers as words equal the same
numbers, so that could be a function of this, but...

So far, counting SB 53, the only "Super Bowl..." phrases
that equal 253 are...

"Super Bowl fifty-three" = 253
"Super Bowl thirty-three" = 253
"Super Bowl twenty-eight" = 253

...all involve/involved Atlanta.

The only other phrase like that that has "53" in it
in any way is,
"Super Bowl ten" = 53...  (2+5+3=10 btw)

Super Bowl ten was on the 18th day of the year.
This is the '18 season.

The winner of SB 10 (Pittsburgh) lost twice that entire season
to the Bills and the Rams.

That Pittsburgh team had one Hall of Famer
that was from Georgia... Mel Blount. He was the Def. player of the year.

He was drafted... 53rd overall.

...he appeared in 219 all time games.
Like the year 2019 in which SB 53 will be played.

...he had 61 all time interceptions.
61 the 18th prime. '18 season.

...his birthday is 149 days from the season opener.
149 = 35th prime... 35 / 53...

...his birthday is 299 days from the Super Bowl, in,
"Atlanta Georgia" = 299 [reverse bacon].

That Pittsburgh team had a point differential for the entire
season, incl. playoffs, of 239... the 52nd prime-
this is the season after SB 52...

Dallas lost Super Bowl ten. Their point differential for the
entire year, incl. playoffs, was 111
"ATL" = 111 [bacon].

That Dallas team was coached by Landry who apparently
wore #49 when he played... This will be the 49th SB of the modern era.

Their first game, week 1 that year, they won with 18 points.
...'18 season.

"Super Bowl fifty-three" = 109

109, the 29th prime... 29/109 have been HOT-
more scores featured 29 points a season ago than maybe ever,
29 year old QB won the SB/SB MVP, 10 days after the season
(29 is 10th prime) was the Parkland shooting at a school whose
team name/mascot is EAGLES (won the SB)... there was the
big playoff home run by L.A. Dodgers 29 years to the day of the
famous Gibson home run, "Los Angeles" = 109,
and on and on, can't recall it all off hand
but it's been HOT...

then the 2018 schedule was released on the 109th day of the year...

...so the only other "Super Bowl..." phrases that also = 109
are all PRIME numbered Super Bowls (like 53), and that's,

"Super Bowl forty-seven" = 109 (bal vs sf)
"Super Bowl forty-three" = 109 (pit vs az)
"Super Bowl thirty-seven" = 109... (tb vs oak)

...EXCEPT for:
28, 33, and 38...

well 28 and 33 featured Atlanta...

and 38 (ne vs car) had a score of 29 points...
and totaled to 61 (18th prime, '18 season)...

More prime time

Right now, the only teams with prime numbered points SCORED
and prime numbered points ALLOWED,
IN SUPER BOWLS, are:
New Orleans Saints (scored 31, allowed 17)
Los Angeles Rams (scored 59, allowed 67)
Buffalo Bills (scored 73, allowed 139)

I really like the Rams 67 there because that's the 19th prime
and the SB will be played in '19...

...the 59 for them could point towards playing one of the many
AFC teams in their 59th season... Maybe the Bills!?

I like the 139 for the Bills because that's the 34th prime
and the SB is on the 34th day of the year and there's been
a ton of other 34 stuff lately/pointing towards the game...

...and the 73 for them could point towards playing
San Francisco in their 73rd season!??

The other stuff in Super Bowl scores/differentials I like
are right now Minnesota is -61 point differential in Super Bowls...

...61 is the 18th prime... '18 season... and they certainly seem due.

And then, because 29 has been so hot,
Pittsburgh is +29... so...

now Miami is -29 but c'mon, Miami?

A very interesting thing here is that the Giants are at 0.
They've scored 104 and allowed 104...
and are 4-1 record wise... 4-1 104-104: beautiful?

does that mean they are done as far as Super Bowls go?
I wonder if another team was ever at 0 after playing in one...

The only Super Bowls with both scores being prime are:
SB14: 31-19
SB41: 29-17
SB44: 31-17

Notice it's always a 4 and/or 1 in the number?
how did SB40 miss? Neither score was prime
but the total was prime (31)...

14+41+44=99... this is the 99th NFL season
will the SB feature two prime scores?

Are there any scores, both prime, with a difference of 4
(recall the point differentials in SBs hosted by ATL section above)...

47-43... 41-37... 23-19... 17-13... 11-7... and 7-3...

...certainly some viable scores in there.

February

SB53 (53 the 16th prime) will be the 16th SB played in February.
Apparently February is named after a purification ritual called
"Februa" = 53... (and 109... and it can have 29 days...)

My bad. I didn't realize that after they started playing them
in February that one year they played in January again,
so SB53 will actually be the 17th SB played in February.

  1. If you add up the year of the NFL Season when ATL hosted (74+80+99) you get 253
    253 = 22nd triangular #
Flip the #s you get 523 (99th prime)

I’ve been seeing this # a good amount but never documented, wish I had been

The 1994 LA Rams has some interesting scores, this was their last Season in LA

    Week 3: L to SB29 Champion, 49ers
    -Score 34-19 (53)
    Week 5- L to ATL: 5-8 (13)
-LOL @ that score but another 58/ATL
    Week 8- L to NO 37-34
    -Fell to 3-5
    Week 12-L to 49ers 31-27 (58)
    -Fell to 4-7
    Week 13-L to SB29 runner-up Chargers
    -Score: 31-17 (48) fell to 4-8

You got a ton more great info I still need to go through there

I just made a post about Rams/Ravens loaded with connections
